Finally!
Day 355 Terlingua finally decided to give us her beautiful Stonewall cria. It took Ron, Davis, and I to get him here though. Good thing Terlingua was an experienced mom, because it took all she had. Once we helped her get the shoulders out, we thought we’d let gravity do the rest. But no, this cria was so big that his elbows were dragging the ground.
It was such a tight squeeze that his breathing started to slow as his ribs were passing through. But Davis got on his knees and blew into the cria’s nose. That perked him right up. Finally we got the hips through. We weighed him this evening and he tipped the scales at 23 pounds! He looks great and is doing really well. Terlingua’s a bit tired though!
He’s not quite dry and about 2 hours old in these pictures.

That’s one big dude!! I hope he continues to do well. Now, just one more to go – let’s have a girl Dawn!!
About time those two girls finally had those babies. Was starting to wonder if they were really pregnant! Rick said he thought Ron was going to put Terlinguals cria back where it came from, when he realized it was another boy!! Awesome looking boys tho, both of them!!!! Congratulations!! Was hoping Electra’s would be more grey, since she and Tomasia both bred to Royal Flush. Will be interesting to see if she puts out the same color! Thanks for putting up with my Honey this week. Missing the Reiling’s big time!! (and my husband!!!)
Thanks! These latest crias look awesome. Electra’s may be rose grey or dark fawn/grey. He has the markings aof a grey as well as black points. But Electra is a multi with both silver grey and big brown sploches. So she can go either way…
